The northbound Interstate 25 frontage road near Jefferson is closed at this hour as police investigate a one-car crash that left a man dead.

According to police, about 1 p.m. a man driving his truck north on Interstate 25 veered off the roadway, hit a metal pole and rolled over.

When police arrived the Ford Pickup was resting on its roof on the Frontage road. Police have closed northbound Frontage Road between Bogen and McCleod. They expect to reopen the roadway at 4 p.m.

The man has yet to be indentified and police don't know why he drove off the roadway. He was wearing his seatbelt when the crash occurred.
