Las Cruces firefighter a finalist for popular TV show's "All Star First Responders."

Dennis Pacheco of Las Cruces, a veteran of 27 years of firefighting, has a chance to be recognized as a good guy on a popular television show that usually highlights bad guys, according to the Las Cruces Sun-News.

Pacheco, who works with the NASA White Sands Test Facility Fire Department and is chief of the Dona Ana Fire Department, is among the finalists for the "America's Most Wanted All-Star First Responders," the Sun-News reported.

You can vote for Pacheco online at the "America's Most Wanted" Web site through April 13, the paper said.

"It's very, very flattering," Pacheco told the Sun-News. "But that's not why I'm here."
