13-year-old girl who reported she was being held against her will now back with family.
Alexandra Gomez, 13, of Taos Pueblo, who had been missing since Wednesday, was picked up by her grandfather, Cesario Gomez, at the Ranchos de Taos post office some time before 7:30 a.m. Sunday, The Taos News is reporting. The Taos News ran the following appeal from Alexandra's mother this weekend. The girl had called her parents on Friday to tell them she was being held against her will, but also on Friday a friend received a voice-mail message from Alexandra saying she was OK and that she had left her family because they wouldn't listen to her, according to a Journal North report this weekend. Authorities aren't saying much more than that the girl is safe and that there never was a kidnapping, according to a report on KOB-TV. The Federal Bureau of Investigation had set up a 24-hour tip line when the girl went missing, but the FBI called off the search on Sunday, saying the girl had been located, KOB-TV reported.
