PNM expects to have electricity restored in about an hour.

Some 3,000 Rio Rancho customers lost power around 8 this morning from just northwest of the intersection of Northern Boulevard and N.M. 528 to the Sandoval County landfill, but Public Service Company of New Mexico hopes to have electricity back on between 10 and 10:15 this morning, PNM's Kevin Fuller told ABQjournal.com.

The suspected cause is a possible dig-in by construction crews at 19th Avenue and 30th Street, Fuller said.
