Except Manzano H.S., E. Mountains schools cancel classes.

6:55am UPDATE: Students at To'hajiilee schools are on a two-hour delay, including those students who attend West Mesa High School, Jimmy Carter Middle School and Painted Sky Elementary schools, because of wintry weather west of Albuquerque, Albuquerque Public Schools spokeswoman Lauran Morrison just announced.

Albuquerque Public Schools has just announced that three East Mountains schools -- A. Montoya Elementary, San Antonito Elementary and Roosevelt Middle schools -- will be closed today, instead of on a two-hour delay as previously announced, because of the ongoing investigation of the early-morning shooting of a sheriff's deputy at South Highway 14 and Interstate 40 in Tijeras.

Manzano High School, however, will be on its regular schedule, according to APS spokeswoman Lauran Morrison.
