Wind advisories, red flag warnings, even the possibility of snow up north.

There's a wind advisory up for the Albuquerque area from 7 this morning to 8 tonight, with surface west and southwest winds kicking up to between 25 and 35 mph before too long, with gusts up to 45 mph.

The wind advisory will affect just about all of New Mexico, except for Lea and Eddy counties for most of the day and into the night, according to the National Weather Service.

The ubiquitous red flag warnings we've been seeing lately -- warm temperatures, high winds and low humidities leading to critical fire weather conditions -- will be in effect from 10 this morning through 8 tonight  for most of New Mexico, except for the northwest corner.

Weather's triple whammy kicks in with the possibility of snow accumulations tonight and Thursday for the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristos and the highlands west of Interstate 25, with a return of winter forecast for Rio Arriba County, according to this morning's area forecast discussion.

Temperatures are another story, rollercoastering in our area from way above normal on Tuesday, a slightly-above average of 75 forecast for today, then a sharp cooldown to an expected high of just 60 on Thursday, according to the weather service.

We're even looking at a slight chance of showers tonight (10 percent) and a slightly better chance (20 percent) tomorrow.
