Six dead in a weekend is bad enough. Then consider the number of Chicago children killed so far this year -- 24 -- and the situation becomes dark and chilling. How can it be that we are only in April and 24 children have died violent deaths in a city, many of them in school or close by. They are dying over as little as $1.
