Fate of Frankie Tellis with Las Cruces jury

A jury in Las Cruces will continue to deliberate this morning in the case against Frankie Telles, who is accused of the 2004 shooting death of a Las Cruces teen.

The jury got the case on Thursday and deliberated about two hours before being sent home for the night.

Telles, 25, is facing charges of murder, tampering with evidence, aggravated assault and conspiracy.

Telles allegedly shot and killed 14-year-old Jorge Olivas on Feb. 27, 2004 as the teen and a friend walked home from Club Fusion, a city-run club touted as a safe haven for teens.
