Fire officials are reporting at this hour that they have made significant progress in trying to contain the Trigo Fire. They say the blaze is 45 percent contained and hasn't grown over the past 18 hours. The blaze has destroyed 59 homes and dozens of other structures.

The fire, which started April 15,  has consumed 13,380 acres and more than $6.7 million has been spent on fighting it.

Fire officials said they expect to have a containment line built around the entire fire by morning. A community meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday for evacuees at the Estancia Community Center.
