Just one westbound lane, two eastbound lanes open between Zuzax and Sedillo exits.

Headaches began this morning for commuters on Interstate 40 between Sedillo Hill and Zuzax as only one westbound lane will be open and two eastbound lanes for the next 75 days, the Albuquerque Journal reported on Sunday.

It's all part of the New Mexico Department of Transportation's multiphase, $19.7 million to rebuild the 40-year-old stretch of highway, which will include a new eastbound climbing lane at Sedillo Hill, installation of barrier walls, and improvement to drainage, signs and ramps, according to the Journal.
