My Xbox 360 has succumbed to the dreaded Red Ring of Death.

The machine was purchased in Dec. of 2005 and has been a workhorse, what with being on almost daily for nearly 2 1/2 years.

Microsoft last year extended the warranty on 360s that die in this way and my shipping box should be on its way shortly.

Fortunately, May is a slow time for videogame releases (except for Grand Theft Auto IV).

On the up side, my copy of GTAIV is on the Playstation 3 platform. On the down side, my PS3 is of the 60GB variety, and due to a bug, I can't play the online component of the game until Rockstar Games releases a fix.
