Fire weather watch in effect from this morning through this evening.

Our high temperature today is expected to be around 80 (slightly above the normal high of 77), kicking off a series of warm and windy days at least through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds will start off westerly at 5 to 10 mph, increasing to 20 to 25 mph and gusting as high as 35 mph before the day is done.

Look for a high of 84 on Friday, 80 on Saturday, but similar wind conditions over the next three days.

And there's a fire weather watch in effect for much of the state, including our area through this evening.
