City says "leave the driving to us" to mark Strive Not To Drive Week.

The city of Albuquerque has been pushing alternative ways to get around town with Strive Not To Drive Week, and today's the day you get to ride all city buses for free.

Because today is "Bus Day."

Monday was "Walk Day," Tuesday was "Carpool Day," and everyone with a city bus pass will be able to ride the New Mexico Rail Runner commuter train for free on Thursday, according to the city's Web site.

On Friday, it will be "Bike To Work Day," with gatherings and giveaways for bike riders from 6:15 to 8 a.m. at the Alvarado Transportation Center, Uptown Transit Center, Erna Ferguson Library and Los Ranchos and starting at 5:30 a.m. at the Los Lunas Rail Runner station.

You can learn about bike trails, bike gear and how to get around by combining bike rides with the bus or train, and there will be food and bike gear given away. Go to www.bikeabq.org for more information.
