The man killed by a Rail Runner train Wednesday has been identified as George M. Gurule, 49, said Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Erin Kinnard Thompson. She said the investigation remains ongoing. 

Gurule was allegedly sitting on the tracks when he was struck by a southbound train at about 6 p.m.
