Laura Bush here to help out Rep. Heather Wilson.

First lady Laura Bush will speak at the Heather Wilson for Congress breakfast this morning at 9:35 a.m. at the Marriott Pyramid Hotel in Albuquerque, then visit a classroom at Bel-Air Elementary School at 4725 Candelaria NE and speak at a Helping America's Youth event in Albuquerque at 3:35 p.m.

In addition to lending her personality popularity and considerable political clout to Wilson's hotly contested re-election campaign with Democratic Attorney General Patricia Madrid, the first lady will be taking part in an effort to warn children about the dangers of alcohol abuse. At last report, the events are not open to the public.

We don't think she'll be talking about what a bad housekeeper former first lady (and likely 2008 presidential candidate) Sen. Hillary Clinton was -- but that's the screaming headline this morning on The Drudge Report.
