Passenger boardings on Albuquerque’s buses topped 10 million over the last year -- a record high, the city announced Wednesday.
ach time a passenger boards a bus, the driver presses a button to record the trip. Riders who transfer among several buses, then, get counted each time they get on a new bus.
With just days left in the fiscal year, the city is on pace to record 10.4 million passenger boardings since July 1 last summer. That would be an 11 percent increase over the previous fiscal year.
