A fatal accident about 5:45 p.m. Sunday shut down westbound  lanes of Interstate 40 in western Bernalillo County,  a sheriff’s deputy said.
A sport-utility vehicle rolled over near the 137 mile marker in western Bernalillo County, killing one occupant and injuring a passenger, a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said. Deputies planned to create a detour around the wreckage.
