Here's what's open, what's not, on this Independence Day.

We're told that July Fourth only falls on a Friday every seven years, so enjoy this fortuitous three-day weekend.

Here is the Independence Day schedule for government offices and services:

CITY OFFICES: Closed.

CITY COMMUNITY CENTERS: Closed.

COUNTY OFFICES: Closed.

COUNTY COMMUNITY CENTERS: Closed.

STATE OFFICES: Closed.

CONGRESSIONAL OFFICES: Wilson: Closed; Udall: Closed; Domenici: Closed; Bingaman: Closed.

COURTS: Federal: Closed; State District: Closed; Metro: Closed.

POSTAL SERVICE: No postal service.

BANKS (FEDERAL RESERVE HOLIDAYS): Observed. Check with your local branch office.

GARBAGE: Regular trash pickup.

ABQ RIDE: Closed. Call 243-7433 for more information on bus schedules.

RAIL RUNNER EXPRESS: Closed.

CENTRAL NEW MEXICO COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO: Closed.

CITY LIBRARIES: Closed.

ANDERSON-ABRUZZO ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL BALLOON MUSEUM: Open.

RIO GRANDE NATURE CENTER: Open.

INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER: Closed.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY: Open.

PETROGLYPH NATIONAL MONUMENT: Open.

NATIONAL ATOMIC MUSEUM: Open.

BIOPARK: Rio Grande Zoo, Albuquerque Aquarium and Rio Grande Botanic Garden: Open.

ALBUQUERQUE MUSEUM: Open.

EXPLORA: Closed.

NATIONAL HISPANIC CULTURAL CENTER: Closed. The museum will be open.

RIO RANCHO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: No school.

ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS: No school.
