Death of 36-year-old Los Lunas man under investigation.

The man whose body was found Tuesday morning in a car off N.M. 47 about 10 miles south of Belen has been identified as Reymundo Garcia, 36, of Los Lunas, State Police spokesman Lt. Juan Martinez told ABQjournal.com.

A passing motorist spotted the car sitting in a field off the highway around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Martinez said.

State Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine how Garcia died and whether his death was a homicide, Martinez said.

The man who discovered Garcia's body had spotted the car earlier in the week and decided to investigate Tuesday morning when he saw the car hadn't moved, according to a KOB-TV report.

Ernest Jaramillo told KOB-TV he thought something looked suspicious and when he went up to the car, he discovered the body and called police.
