Irene Garcia is headed back to City Hall and Pete Dinelli is moving into the mayor's office under a new executive team announced today by the mayor.

Mayor Martin Chavez called them part of an "All Star team" running city government.

Garcia is the new chief operating officer, replacing Ed Adams. Adams is now the chief administrative officer, the top job under Chavez.

Garcia was the mayor's chief financial officer when he took office in 2001. She later retired.

Dinelli will serve as the chief public-safety officer, a job that's been vacant for some time. He will oversee the Police and Fire Department. He used to be deputy city attorney and is a former city councilor.

Rounding out the mayor's team are Adams and Anna Lamberson, the chief financial officer.
