Developer requested dismissal on speedy trial grounds

District Court Judge Reed Sheppard struck down a motion Wednesday to dismiss charges against developer Jason Daskalos, who had alleged that his right to a speedy trial had been violated. Daskalos was charged last year with resisting or evading an officer, stemming from an August 2006 traffic stop in which an APD officer allegedly sneaked Daskalos out of the department's BAT Mobile.
