Victim was an American Indian in his 20s

Police are investigating a homicide that happened at about 8 p.m. Friday, said Albuquerque police spokeswoman Nadine Hamby. Police were called to the Stonebrook apartments just north of Del Norte High School after a caller reported that shots had been fired. Police found an American Indian man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound inside an apartment with a broken window. He died at the scene, and police have not released his identity.
