Teen died from head trauma after fall from car Wednesday

Manzano High School student Erin Gonzales, 15, suffered head trauma and died from her injuries after falling off a car on Wednesday, according to an Albuquerque Police Department news release.

Gonzales was riding on the car's hood as it was traveling northbound on Sierra Larga NE, near Lomas and Tramway. Gonzales slid off the hood and fell off the of the vehicle.
The APD traffic unit will continue to investigate the crash. When the report is complete, it will be forwarded to the District Attorney's office for review, according to the release.
