Albuquerque man tacks on another DWI arrest
An alleged five time DWI offender was again arrested on suspicion of drunk driving on Friday, according to a criminal complaint.
David W. Layman, 44, is charged with aggravated DWI (6th offense). Albuquerque police pulled over Layman's vehicle near Copper and Utah NE because of dim rear lights and an untraceable license plate. Layman showed signs of impairment, according to the complaint. He denied having anything to drink. Layman performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He also refused to submit to chemical testing to determine his blood alcohol concentration, according to the complaint. He was arrested and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center.
