The Compass Bank at 4624 Fourth Street NW, at the corner of Griegos, was hit about 12:20 p.m. today, the FBI reports.
The perpetrator is described as a white or Hispanic male in his mid-20s with brown, curly hair, approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall and with a thin build. He was wearing a gray stocking hat, dark jacket and blue jeans, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.
No weapon was displayed or implied, the agency reported, and the robber left with an undisclosed amount of money.
He was last seen getting into the passenger side of a light blue mini-van.
