Before you pull a semi-automatic on another driver, you might make sure that driver isn't a police officer. You also might want to see if your friends are armed before you refuse to give up your beer. According to a criminal complaint, Loring Callwood of southwest Albuquerque was arrested this week after he pulled a gun on two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car. The officers had pulled over to let a fire truck pull out in front of them and motioned for Callwood to do the same. This apparently made him angry, because according to the complaint, he pulled in front of the officers, blocking them in and attempt to approach the car "in an aggressive fashion." When the officers got out and approached Callwood's van, they heard the "distinct sound" of a round being chambered in a semi-automatic, according to the complaint. One officer pointed his gun at Callwood, who lowered his gun and was taken into custody. In other interesting complaints, a northeast Albuquerque man was arrested and charged with armed robbery after he allgedly sliced a friend's arm with a razor blade and took his beer after the man refused to give it to him. One hopes it was at least a good beer.
