Metropolitan Court Judge Sandra Clinton sentenced Albuquerque Developer Jason Daskalos to 48 hours in jail Wednesday and in doing so also ordered that all of his vehicles get booted. Read today's Journal Story here. The big question: Are there going to be enough boots? In court Wednesday, Daskalos didn't know how many vehicles he had. He estimated 13. Well, he was wrong , according to MVD officials. Daskalos has current registrations on 20 vehicles. Those vehicles also include Daskalos' race car, pictured here in the front in red, white and blue. If you are just reading about Daskalos for the first time, here are the CliffsNotes: Daskalos made headlines in 2006 after he was sneaked out of an Albuquerque Police Department BATmobile by a cop friend. At the time, a look at his driving record revealed that he had dozens of traffic citations, most of which were deferred or dismissed. The citations he was convicted of never appeared on his driving record. A city attorney friend who had dismissed citations given to Daskalos and his family resigned amid an inquiry. The cop who sneaked him out of the BATmobile was fired.
