The former Jimmy Carter Middle School teacher accused of having sex with a 13-year-old male student was in court Friday afternoon in Albuquerque.

That's the word from Albuquerque Journal reporter Andrea Schoellkopf.

Schoellkopf tells ABQNews Seeker that Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo's bond was continued at $25,000.

Schoellkopf also says that Sanchez-Trujillo, who has been out on bond, was ordered not to go near the school or the alleged victim's home.

Sanchez-Trujillo, a 33-year-old social studies teacher, was arrested Wednesday after admitting that she had sex with the seventh-grader, who was in one of her classes.

Sanchez-Trujillo is charged with three counts of criminal sexual penetration and faces up to six year in prison. According to a criminal complaint, Sanchez-Trujillo admitted having two sexual encounters with the student, twice taking him to a movie and having sex with him afterward at Petroglyph National Monument.

Even before she was charged, the school district had fired Sanchez-Trujillo from the West Side Albuquerque school.

Her arrest warrant is here.

Former Jimmy Carter Middle School social studies teacher Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo will appear in court today. Police say she confessed to driving a 13-year-old student to the movies, and then to the Petroglyphs National Monument, where the two had sex in the back of her car on two occasions.

Sanchez-Trujillo spent four hours at the county jail before posting a $2,500 bond.

Albuquerque Public Schools fired her, and she's now facing three counts of rape.
