The Drying of the West Permalink comment E-mail

After a dramatically wet winter, things are drying out in a hurry around the West:

You can see a white blob of "non-drought" in the headwaters of the Rio Grande and Colorado Rivers, which is good in terms of water supply. But conditions to the south and east of Albuquerque, along with much of the northern Rockies, are drying out in a hurry.
