Three men from Logan were killed in a single-vehicle accident on Route 66 near Endee Saturday morning, the Quay County Sun reported.

Found dead at the scene were Trent Barber, 26; Trever Mitchell, 23; and Travis Roberts, 24, State Police Sgt. Andrew Tingwall told the Sun.

The three were in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck eastbound on Route 66 when the truck swerved off the road and went into a broadslide slide, smashing into a tree by the roadside and uprooting it, Tingwall told the paper.

"Alcohol cans were found open and unopened around the scene of the accident, which is still under investigation," Tingwall said.
