Temperatures about 5 degrees above normal

National Weather Service says it will reamin hot and mostly dry for the next few days, with highs in the mid-to-upper 90s across the state.

Forecast for Albuquerque includes:

Today: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. East wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 96. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south.

Saturday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 93. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south.
