7:25am UPDATE: Police have reopened 98th Street and the eastbound off-ramp from Interstate 40 to 98th Street after cleaning up hazardous material from a tractor-trailer spill around 4:30 a.m., KOB-TV is reporting.

A HAZMAT spill at 98th Street near Interstate 40 around 4:30 this morning has forced the closure of north- and south-bound 98th Street, KOB-TV is reporting.

The eastbound off-ramp from I-40 at 98th also is closed, according to Eyewitness News 4.

There is no word on whether there were any injuries.

Authorities aren't sure yet whether the fuel spilled was diesel or gasoline, and the cleanup is expected to last at least another hour, KOB-TV reported.

Paseo del Volcan and Unser are being suggested as alternate routes for this morning's commute.
