Clifton Bloomfield pleaded guilty this morning to five murders in the Metro area in exhange for prosecutors not pursuing the death penalty against him.
In all, he pleaded to 10 felonies, including five first-degree murder charges. Bloomfield was already in prison for the killing of a newlywed when he was linked to the 2007 killings of Tak and Pung Yi through DNA evidence. Police last week said that he was a suspect in a total of six killings. Read tommorow's Journal for more on this story.
