 Brasher's heroics in December saved the lives of at least four of his soldiers, earning him the Silver Star. Maj. Gen.

Curtis M. Scaparrotti awarded the medal to Brasher during a ceremony at the 82nd's War Memorial Museum at Fort Bragg.
