The general manager of Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative said about 4,000 homes are still without power in some parts of Edgewood.

The power should be restored by 9 p.m. today, John Wheeler said.

The power went out at about 6 p.m. Saturday after a thunderstorm ripped through the area, knocking down six power lines, Wheeler said.
