Three dogs impounded during investigation.

A neighborhood in the South Valley claims that three Rottweilers have killed at least two other dogs and injured others, according to a story in this morning's Journal.

Bernalillo County's Animal Control division has impounded Valarie Chavez's and Robert Montoya's three 5-year-old Rottweilers, pending the outcome of the investigation.

"When that gets resolved, we'll either get them back or they will be put down," Chavez said after a Monday night meeting at a South Valley community center aimed at discussing the attacks and other animal-related issues in the area.
