Joe Biden in Mesilla on Friday; Sarah Palin to hold rally in Roswell on Sunday.
Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin will make her second campaign appearance in New Mexico with a "Road to Victory" rally in Roswell, The New Mexico Independent reported. The Palin rally will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Great Southwest Aviation and doors open at 1 p.m., according to the John McCain for President Web site. Tickets will be required for Palin's appearance and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, though tickets won't guarantee entry into the event, according to the Independent. Palin appeared at a rally with McCain in Albuquerque in September, the Independent reported. Meanwhile, the Albuquerque Journal reported this morning on details of Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden's first election-season stop in New Mexico. Biden will appear at a Change We Need Rally at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Plaza in Mesilla, and while tickets will not be required, an RSVP is encouraged, according to a news release from the Obama-Biden campaign.
