Congratulations to Nikita Bogdanov, Alexander Kendrick, Gabriel Joachim and Hee Sung Park, top winners at yesterday's 2009 New Mexico State Science and Engineering Fair at New Mexico Tech.

 

The four will represent New Mexico in Reno next month at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

  • Bogdanov, from Albuquerque Academy, won for a project entitled "Can you do the water walk?". 
  • Kendrick, who attends Los Alamos High School, did a project entitled "The Underground Radio II".
  • Joachim, from Cibola High School, did a project entitled "Identifying Habitats of Poison-Dart Frogs: Local Equipment and Frog Distribution".
  • From Carlsbad High School, Park did a project entitled "Antibiotic-Producing Characteristics and Speciation of Bacteria in Parks Ranch Cave".
We'll have more on the fair in Monday's paper.
