  • The city fathers and mothers in St. George are struggling mightily to explain why all those salt cedars are dying. Turns out it's a feature, not a bug. Or rather, the bug eating the salt cedars is intentional.
  • It is interesting that Duke Energy hopes to build a nuke plant at Piketon, in Ohio, at the site of the old uranium enrichment plant. What's most interesting to me, however, is that Matt Wald's New York Times story saw fit to mention that one of the site's attractive features is adequate water. The water-energy issue seems to be on the agenda.
  • Coco responds to Trudy Jones' piece at the Independent regarding Water Utility Authority accountability.
