I think one of the most significant bits of research currently being done here in town is the work coming out of a team out at Sandia Labs studying the linkages between energy and water. The issue: it takes water to make large quantities of additional energy, and it takes energy to make large quantities of additional water. We're running short of both.

I was happy to see this morning that no less a water luminary that Michael Campana agrees:
