Groups Tout Aviation Careers

A group of aviation and educational companies are presenting “Your Place in Aviation,” a career day and open house for the general public, beginning at 11 a.m. on July 12 at the Cutter Aviation Terminal of the Albuquerque International Sunport.
Displays and information will be available from: Del Sol Aviation, Cutter Aviation Charter Services, Enchantment Helicopters, UNM Lifeguard, Seven Bar Flying Service, CNM Aviation Department, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, N.M. Army and Air National Guard, Santa Fe Top Gun Adventures and N.M. Department of Transportation Aviation Division.
“We are so fortunate to have events such as this to help encourage the younger generations to learn and take an interest in aviation,” Fred Mondragon, cabinet secretary for New Mexico Economic Development, said in a statement.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, Del Sol Aviation said it plans to provide hot dogs, chips and drinks from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Representatives will be available to discuss career path opportunities, provide literature and offer aircraft tours.
Aircraft rides also will be offered at special rates by Del Sol Aviation, Enchantment Helicopters, and Santa Fe Top Gun Adventures, organizers said.
