Sessions To Focus On FBI Careers
Two free information sessions for those interested in a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation will be held from 9-10 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. Mondayin the Lobo A & B conference room at the UNM Student Union Building.
Seating is limited at this event hosted by Nvent Marketing Partnership, a student-run marketing agency at the University of New Mexico.
The event is free and registration is not required. Refreshments will be provided.

Foundation Boosts College Donations
FARMINGTON The San Juan College Foundation contributed $3.6 million to the college last year, a 99 percent increase compared with 2007-08, foundation executive director Gayle Dean announced at the college's monthly board meeting Tuesday night.
The foundation provides private sector resources to enhance the campus and support students and staff. Last year, the foundation provided nearly $500,000 in scholarships to more than 500 students. It paid $1.9 million toward the construction of the Learning Commons, spent $911,000 to improve campus programs and awarded faculty and staff with a plethora of honors.
Salvation Army Truck Stolen
FARMINGTON Police are looking for the person responsible for stealing a truck from the Farmington Salvation Army office and taking it four-wheeling.
The truck, which is used to deliver donations and food, was stolen Tuesday evening, police said. It was discovered Wednesday morning near County Road 5117, stuck on a piñon tree.
The theft of the truck is an added blow to the organization. The Farmington office already was hit by two burglaries recently.
ACCION Honored For Loan Programs
In a recently published case study, the Aspen Institute's FIELD program recognizes Albuquerque-based ACCION New Mexico-Arizona-Colorado as a model for organizational sustainability for microenterprise loan programs.
FIELD identifies, develops and disseminates best practices and educates funders, policymakers and others about microenterprise as an anti-poverty strategy.
