Police have identified several people of interest in the shooting death of a Rio Rancho man Wednesday.

Group has new economic strategy

The new Sandoval Economic Alliance finally puts the City of Rio Rancho and Sandoval County on the same page about economic development, Sandoval County Manager Phil Rios told young business leaders last week.

Rep. Luján replaces vet’s stolen flag

A Rio Rancho veteran is thanking his congressman and the community for their show of support after an American flag he’d been given as a gift was stolen from the flag pole outside his home last weekend.

County commission changes schedule

The Sandoval County Commission will have a special meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. to discuss and approve the county’s final budget for fiscal year 2014-15.

Foreclosures up a bit

Foreclosure filings in Rio Rancho rose slightly last month, from about 40 in May to about 45 in June, after peaking this year at 120 in April, according to RealtyTrac, a real estate information company.
