LAS CRUCES — A 77-year-old man was arrested here Friday for allegedly poisoning his next door neighbor's dog with cyanide-laced hot dogs.
Las Cruces police arrested Philip Karp at his Yellowstone Drive home on a charge of extreme cruelty to animals, a fourth-degree felony punishable by up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine.
