Journal Staff ReportA 58-year-old East Mountain woman has been hospitalized with bubonic plague— the state's fifth case of human plague this year, state health officials confirmed Friday.
A 3-year-old Bernalillo County boy died of bubonic plague in June. Nonfatal plague cases also have been confirmed in Santa Fe, Torrance and San Juan counties.
