        Journal reporter Mike Gallagher is a New York native. He attended Good Shepherd Grammar School and Nazareth High School in Brooklyn, which have several alumni missing or dead in the terrorist attacks. One of the best known is Fire Capt. Timothy Stackpole, who was killed while directing rescue efforts at the World Trade Center.
