Richard Herman, one of five finalists for the New Mexico State University presidency, has withdrawn his name from consideration.
According to a news release from the Las Cruces school, Herman said his decision is based on other obligations that will prevent him from continuing as a candidate. Herman was a controversial candidate because of his history at the University of Illinois at Urbana-C
