Mayor Chavez had good news about the city’s financial outlook.During a morning press conference he revealed that the City of Albuquerque is well under budget at the 3rd quarter mark of the year. If the budget surpluses hold throughout the rest of the year, Chavez said the surplus money would be put into developing a new ABQ tourism/visitors’ center based near Old Town Albuquerque.
