March is shaping up as a good month for gamers.
The PlayStation 3 is seeing some good releases this month, although most are ports that are already available for the Xbox 360. The major exception is "MotorStorm," a racing game created by Sony.
The 360 isn't getting a whole lotta love in March, with the key title being "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2" due next week. 360 fans are enjoying "Crackdown," which was released a couple of weeks ago.
The Nintendo Wii sees three titles that are aimed at that console – "The Godfather: Blackhand Edition," "Prince of Persia Rival Swords" and "Medal of Honor: Vanguard."
But the heavyweight game due this month is actually for a last-generation machine – "God of War II" for the PlayStation 2. The followup to the must-have game of 2005 will most likely outsell all of the other games with their fancy graphics and high definition and such.
"God of War II" is, for all intents and purposes, the last big game planned for the PS2, but at least the venerable console will go out with a bang.
Here is a breakdown of some of the bigger games for March:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent
Xbox 360
TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Wii
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
Prince of Persia Rival Swords
