Chat With the Candidates

The Journal is sponsoring its first-ever online chat with candidates for City Council. I'll be moderating the online discussion here at ABQjournal.com.

It starts at 7:30 p.m. today, but you can leave questions here for the candidates any time before that as well.

The chat is for candidates in Council District 6, which covers much of the Southeast Heights. Incumbent Martin Heinrich is stepping down to run for Congress, and it's a wide open race with four candidates.

They are: Rey Garduno, a retired university employee; Joanie Griffin, a business owner and former campaign spokesman for the mayor; Blair Kaufman, an elementary-school principal; Kevin Wilson, a toy-store owner.

All have confirmed they will participate.
